ORIGIN | THE COLLECTION

This collection of functional collectable furniture were curated by myself and created by Jan Ernst in collaboration with Vorster & Braye.

Client; Wanted a few functional pieces in an art studio that was worthy of being art in itself, challenged the senses of creativity and create a permanent exhibition of each piece in this home.

Approach; For each piece to have a presence in the space but still offer a softness with gentle curves and contrast which added movement to the organic shapes using light and shadows.

Concept; To challenge the structural qualities of clay as a material in its purest form and make it functional.

The pieces are unique and one of a kind custom designs for this specific project.
